The Last Supper Progression Day ONE

I've always wanted to paint the Last Supper as a subject for one of my stained glass style paintings.  After all, almost every famous artist has attempted it.  I hadn't though because I wondered if my simplified style of painting would be able to do it justice and if God would even take pleasure in my humble attempt at it.  The verse from Colossians 3:17 came to mind...

Colossians 3:17

New International Version (NIV)
17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

That got me started. I sketched out my first idea with some water color pencils.  Stay posted for the progress on this one.  More tomorrow.

June Forest Progression DAY FOUR

The hardest part about a painting for me is not usually knowing how to start... it's knowing when to stop.

I spent a lot of time today looking at the painting as it is now and comparing it to my original idea which was this sketch done in water color pencils.

I've definitely decided I'm not done yet.... but I'm very close.
More to come. Next will be a little more warmth.
