My Art Goes to Italy

A church community in 
Italy used art from my Parable Paint Series as inspiration for a fun evening of food, fellowship and creativity.
The painting they chose was the Parable of the Sower... 

from 

Matthew 

13:1-23

illustrating four kinds of soil; or ways people respond to Christ.  

These are photos from the night they got together to do their group art project.

I loved seeing the variety of ages of people working on the project together.  


Each of them painted a section of 

the original design.  

When they were finished, they were able to put them
all together ..

Even though this all happened in Italy... I feel by sharing my art as the inspiration for their project,  I was also there.

 

Since I was not...
I had to miss out on their delicious food.  
Yum!   






I am so happy to share their creative spirit with all of you.  BE INSPIRED !!!

Upcoming Art Class

Two examples of work we will be doing in my upcoming 

4 week Art Class starting this Wednesday!... Not too late to register.  

Class will meet for 4 Wednesday evenings in July at Crossroads Bible Church in Oak  

Class Time 7:00pm to 8:00pm each Wednesday in July

Class Fee is $20.00 per person. Contact CBC to sign up

Wednesday Schedule 6:00pm — Fellowship dinner served in café; donations accepted to cover food cost 6:45pm — Dinner wraps up / clean-up 7:00pm — Classes start 8:30pm — Classes end Childcare is provided (nursery-5th grade) by reservation for a $35 fee for one child, $50 max per family.

Crossroads is located at the southwestern corner of FM 407/Justin Road and Chinn Chapel Rd. There are two entrances: one on 407, west of Chinn Chapel, and one on Chinn Chapel.

Upcoming Workshop

Mini Green on Orange

These are  mini size crosses I am experimenting with. This is a possible project for an art workshop I will be coordinating coming up in April.  These are small, just 4" x 5" but made with the same technique as last week's larger crosses and look really cute just tucked in on a book shelf. 


The workshop I am planning is part of the women's weekend coming up at CBC called "Spiritual Arts" CBC Girlfriends Getaway and it is scheduled for April 29th and 30th, 2011.  Registration info is on the Women's Ministry tab on the CBC website.  I hope to see some of you there.
